About Me
My name is Guy Andrews.
I served with HQ, USARSUPTHAI, from October, 1971 to October 1972 in the Comptrollers Operation. I was a Specialist 5. For the last five months of my tour I lived in Pattaya Beach, and commuted to Camp Samae San with several other GIs who also lived there, including Lt. Ken Fenoglio, Spec. Jim Raker, Lt. Tom Hosea, Spec. Greg Cos, and others.
After my time in the military, I went to Texas A&M University, and graduated in 1976 with a BBA in Marketing. I retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone after 25 1/2 years, and worked for the City of Conroe, Texas for six years as the Director of Community Development. In February, 2011, I started a new job as the Economic Development Director for the City of Odessa, Texas. I worked for Saulsbury Industries in Odessa from 8/14 to 3/15, and as the Executive Director of Economic Development in Brownwood, Texas for three years. I am currently the Director of Economic Development in San Angelo, Texas Lt. Ken Fenoglio was instrumental in getting me to go to Texas A&M, and he also helped me get my first job with Southwestern Bell. I would not trade my time in the military, especially the year in Thailand, for anything. In 2008, my wife and I hosted a Thai exchange student through the Rotary Club of Lake Conroe, Texas. That brought back a lot of memories for me. Her name is Mannasanun Tangsaithenchaikul. We called her "Ploy" for short. Post a CommentOops! The words you entered did not match the given text.
