I arrived inThailand May of 68 and spent my one year hitch at CampFriendship 68-69. Company commander was Capt. Blaney, First Sgt. Sears, company clerks were Strickland and Bolda. I had the laborious task of mail clerk, ok maybe not so laborious. Anybody out there that was at CampFriendship 68-69. My claim to fame is that Isid make it to the Bob Hope Christmas Show with Ann Margret, the Gold Diggers,

Daniel,

Can't help much but I was with the 538th in Sattahip ang agree that what we did is a bit foggy. I missed Bob Hope in 68 but caught him in Korat in 69 with Ann Margaret. Unfortunately I had my back to the stage during the show as I was an MP. Just wanted to say "hey" to a fellow vet that spent time in Vayama. I did escort a tractor trailer from the camp to the docks that misjudged the width of the main gate and took out a few concrete poles... I do remember a great NCO club and a few larger than life centipedes (or millipedes?). Anyway, take care and thanks for your service brother.
