In Tribute to Francis J. Picchionne (26 June 1946 - 10 May 2011)

This page will soon feature bits and pieces of Franko Picchione's website information from "Shop Las Vegas" and other tidbits floating around on the world wide web. Many of us are still in a state of shock, that Franko has "gone fishing" permanently. He committed himself to helping other veterans in their fight for AO equality and obtaining much needed recognition from the VA in the struggle for Agent Orange claim approval. It's ironic that he succumbed to illness caused by AO, which he battled for others as well as for himself.

Here's the initial note from his son, Stephen:

Hello:

I just wanted to let all of you know that my Dad passed away this afternoon at about 2 PM suddenly. I am not sure of all the details because Nong was a little too shaken up to try and explain everything to me. but I am currently making arrangements for his burial. He is the greatest man I have ever known and I know he was always proud of the fact that he had the guts to serve his country with honor. I know for a fact that he was always especially grateful for all of your friendship and support during this tough time of his life. I Loved my Dad with all of my heart and I already miss talking to him. Thank you. I wish the best for you in fighting for your VA cases as I read this string also to see what's going on with my Dad's case and have often seen your stories also. I hope all of you win your cases. He would've wanted that also.
